Eberle, Jackie
Soft-spoken goofyfooter from Hawaii. Eberle won the 1965 state championships, and placed fourth in the inaugural Duke Kahanamoku Classic, held the same year. He was a World Surfing Championships invitee the following year; in 1967 he wowed the surf world during the Duke contest by twice riding left into no-man's-land at Sunset Beach during the finals—he wiped out both times, and finished seventh. ...
