Quiet, adaptable, peripatetic surf photographer from Los Angeles, California; among the best in his field throughout the 1980s and '90s. Hornbaker was born (1955) in Pomona, California, began surfing at age 13, and in 1975 published his first surf photos in Surfer magazine.
