South African surfer from Durban, described by neighbor and 1977 world champion Shaun Tomson as "one of the finest power surfers of the 70s." Jackson was born (1956) in Zimbabwe, spent his early years in England, and was seven when he moved with his family to a beachfront house in Durban, where he began surfing.
