North Shore (movie)
Good-natured but far-fetched 1987 Universal Studios coming-of-age movie about Rick Kane (played by Matt Adler), an 18-year-old Arizona surfer who wins a local wavepool contest and flies west to test his skills on the North Shore of Oahu. Kane falls in love, gets beat up by local heavies, acquires a wise and predictably full-bearded surfing guru, and makes the finals of the big contest at Pipeline....
