While blogs in general have had a strong presence on the internet since the early 2000s, surfers didn't take to the blogosphere with any real gusto until a few years later. As Surfer magazine's online editor Zach Weisberg put it in 2010, "one branch of the Internet has now swung low enough for even the shortest among us [surfers] to grasp: the blog."
