Burridge, Pam (1965 – )

Warm and articulate Australian goofyfooter originally from Sydney's Manly Beach; world champion in 1990; described by Surfer magazine in 1999 as the "Mother Superior of women's surfing."

Burridge was born (1965) and raised in Sydney, the daughter of a computer programmer father who became a competitive marathoner; Donella Burridge, Pam's older sister, swam in the 1984 Olympics.
