Adventurous and enduring bodysurfer and canoe surfer from Capistrano Beach, California; described by Surfer's Journal in 1996 as "a friendly giant of a man."
Drummond was born (1907) in Los Angeles, raised in Hollywood, and traveled with his family each summer to Hermosa Beach, where he learned to bodysurf and surf.
