Ebullient regularfoot pro surfer from Oahu, Hawaii; world-ranked #4 in 2009; called a “glowing bundle of pure, giggling delight” by surf writer Matt George. Ho was born (1991) in Honolulu, the daughter of North Shore legend Michael Ho, and niece of 1993 world champion Derek Ho. She began surfing with her father and brother Mason at age seven, and two years later was competing in junior events all over Oahu.

After a solid run as a amateur, Ho qualified for the 2009 pro tour at age 18, finished the year ranked fourth, was named the women’s WCT Rookie of the Year, and also found time to win the World Qualifying Series title. Building on a foundation of a hereditary style and grace, Ho was one of female surfing’s most progressive talents, mixing up power carves and aerial moves with ease. She also became a social media darling, pulling in tens of thousands of Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram followers, especially after a 2011 YouTube video of Ho and her pro surfer girlfriends Laura Enever and Alana Blanchard dancing endearingly to pop music in an Australian hotel room became a surf media sensation. That same year Ho captured the Oakley Pro World Junior Title in Bali and was voted runner-up in the Surfer Magazine Reader’s Poll Awards.

The one bit of misfortune to land on Ho is that her career has been overshadowed by that of fellow Hawaiian and media darling Carissa Moore, who followed up her 2010 Rookie of the Year win with a convincing world title victory in 2011. Ho finished 6th in the ratings that year, and again in 2013.

Ho has appeared in numerous webclips, and was featured in the Nike-funded all-girls surf video 

(2011). She also had a brief part in the 2002 Hollywood production 

. She made surf-world headlines for surfing nude in ESPN's 2014 Body Issue, along with swimmer Michael Phelps, tennis star Venus Williams, and running back Marshawn Lynch.

Mason Ho, North Shore-based pro surfer and celebrated happy-go-lucky hedonist, is Coco Ho's older brother.
