Lindberg, Larry (1934 – )
Independent television sports producer from New York, best known to the American surfing world for his network-backed work of the 1960s, '70s, and early '80s, and for being an enthusiastic early supporter of professional surfing. "You guys have the equivalent of a Ph.D. in surfing," he told a group of the world's best wave-riders in 1968. "You’re the tops and you’re not using it. There’s money to be made if you are willing to take the chance."
