The newest in all lines of surfing equipment from the best Northern and Southern California manufacturers will be on display before the entire surfing world. The manufacturers [will be] unveiling their latest styles, colors, and ideas in equipment—surfboards, car racks, skateboards, etc.—trunks and beachwear, books and magazines, surfing photos and murals. Gun to Hot dog—Wetsuits to Ding Kits—everything the Surfing Industry has to offer will be on exhibition at the Surf Fair.


The best in surfing music will be played by the top artists in the field—the Demensions, the Surfaris’, the Surf-Tones, and special guest artists—recorded “live' at the Surf Fair by a major recording company. Music (in the small auditorium) will run continuously throughout the Surf Fair, alternating with the Surf Films in the main auditorium. Hear the best and liveliest sounds of the surf at the Surf Fair.


The most dramatic in surf films covering the world of INTERNATIONAL surfing will be presented in Bud Browne’s "Surfing High-lights” and Australian Bob Evans’ two films, "Midget Goes Hawaiian” and "Surfing Beneath the Southern Cross." See the giant Australian Bombora surf and the Australian International Champion "Midget" Farrelly. Compare them with our Southern men of action—both at home in Hawaii. The films will run continuously with stage shows.


The Santa Monica Mid-Winter Surfing Championships will be held on the Fair dates—27th & 28th of December—in conjunction with Surf Guide Magazine, and sanctioned by the USSA. Entry blanks for the Surfing championships, beauty contest, the skateboard and skimboard contests, may be found in Surf Guide Magazine, at all Surf Shops, and at Santa Monica City Recreation Department. Events will be televised and the results will be broadcast over Radio Station KRLA.


In addition to the equipment exhibits, the International Surf Film Festival, surfing music, and the contests to be held in conjunction with the Surf Fair, there will be many other special attractions: The top Southern California Surf Clubs will attend with trophies, photos, and club information; a display of completely restored Fords; top Southern California Woodies; appearances by top surfing celebrities; world's most expensive Surf Wagon (handmade Rolls Royce originally made for the Shah of Persia); free literature and product demonstrations, and much more.

Student part-paid passes are available wherever CATALINA swimwear is sold, at all A & W ROOT BEER STANDS, and at all stores carrying
